~ "Time to Lock Up Uncle Ron in the Basement" ~

`Ho....Ho...Ho...`

by Gene Hoyas:

".....Every family has a whackadoo relative – usually an uncle or an aunt of elderly comportment – who is indisputably insane but does exhibit lucidity with sufficient frequency to risk seating next to grandma at Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. Thus the sorry spectacle of Rep. Ron Paul, whose domestic political platform is a Constitutional Conservative’s wet dream, filled with luscious visions of enumerated powers, minimal taxation and regulation and maximal personal liberty – including a respect for the right to life of all humans, born and unborn. On that basis alone, most conservatives are filled with tremendous respect and support for Dr. Paul.
Unfortunately, that’s when he becomes convinced the Thanksgiving Turkey is a giant tarantula and crawls onto the table to use the oven-roasted new potatoes as cannonballs to attack it. "......Let me see if I understand this: Islamic jihad is the product not of Islam taken to its logical, scriptural conclusion but rather of U.S. foreign policy. Good grief. This man is either an idiot or he is certifiably insane.

`Where to begin? I suppose I can start by declaring that Crazy Uncle Ron is also Utterly Ignorant Uncle Ron, who appears to know next to nothing about Islam and even less about its history since it first appeared in the 7th century – long before the United States was even a glint in the Founders’ eyes.

`Does he know nothing about Islam’s ongoing jihad against Christendom since the mid 8th century? Is he not aware that all of the Middle East, Asia Minor and North Africa was once Christian but became Muslim under the sword after these barbarians poured out of the Arabian desert on mission to take over the world? Has anyone on his staff not ever taken the time to explain to him that the people of Iberia fought for 700 years – the longest sustained war in human history – to expel the Muslims from their lands?..." ~

Well summed up. Paul is no Reagan. We need a Reagan-type and I don't know who that is. Naivete in foreign policy in the situation NOW would spell disaster for the USA and maybe everyone else.
