Ron Paul To Everyone But Mitt: Drop Out

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire—Rep. Ron Paul's campaign called on the rest of the Republican field to drop out of the race and unite behind him in order to defeat Mitt Romney.
“We urge Ron Paul’s opponents who have been unsuccessfully trying to be the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney to unite by getting out of the race and uniting behind Paul’s candidacy,” campaign chair Jesse Benton said in a statement. Continued...

More than just a little bit of megalomania coming from the Ron Paul camp. It's like another political "Messiah," but one incapable of doing anything other than getting Obama elected to another four years.

Funny thing is, a few months ago, Ron Paul was on my list of acceptable candidates. But I scratched his name off a while ago after learning more about him and his more radical notions, which aren't surprising. In many ways, Paul is no different than Obama.

I'll stick with a sane politician over Ron Paul, thanks. Funny how the Ron Paul supporters whine about being "marginalized" while attempting to do exactly that to everyone else. And they wonder why Romney is kicking Ron Paul's ass. Now, Romney's father once was gov of my former state of residence and did a fine job. I've no doubt his son will make a find President. But, of course, we have a rabid Paul supporter claiming Ron Paul pretty much is the next Messiah who will cure all the nation's ills. Sounds a lot like what Obama supporters were saying four years ago. I wasn't dumb enough to buy it then. I sure in hell am not dumb enough to fall for it now just because the politician engaging in exactly that same rhetoric just happens to wear a different coat.

That's funny. I have cousins who've lived in the Kalamazoo region for decades. They tell me that the folks in MI remember well what Romney's father did to that state and that it'll be a cold day in hell before Mitt gets their vote.
