What did we tell you about advertising before football season starts?

10. Texas A&M University — College Station

Texas A&M University, a large public research university in College Station, Texas, leans only slightly right of center, but makes the list nonetheless. The reason for this is rooted in the university’s long military history; traditionally, all students were required to enter the Corps of Cadets and receive military training. While this is no longer a requirement, Texas A&M is still a Senior Military College, and the Corps still constitutes a large conservative showing at Texas A&M. Another reason is its more rural location, distanced from Texas’ more liberal centers at Austin and Houston.

There were three Aggies huddled around each other at a local bar. All of a sudden, they jumped up and yelled,

"Yeah, 45! 45!" The bartender goes down to them and asks, "45? What are you guys so excited about?"

One of the Aggies speaks up: "We just finished a jigsaw puzzle. The box said 2 to 3 years, and we did it in 45 days!" (;-)

Did you hear that Louisiana Tech had to AstroTurf their stadium to stop their cheerleaders from grazing at halftime? (;-)
